UCC Placement Cell

The Department of Placement & Training is the backbone of any institution. The Cell provides complete support to the visiting companies at every stage of placement process. Arrangements for Pre-Placement Talks, Written Tests, Interviews and Group Discussions are made as per the requirements of the visiting companies.

Students are given career guidance starting from first year respective to the subjects they learn. Placement training classes are conducted based on

• Company /Skill /Knowledge Specific
• Assessment/ Interviews
• Technical /Non Technical Oriented

Mock Interviews are conducted for the students often to analyze their strength and weakness which includes:

• Online/Offline Test
• Group Discussion/Debates
• Course & HR Interview

The Placement Cell activities include arranging of:

• Internship and projects
• Step Into Corporate
• Industrial Visits
• Career Guidance Programmes

Objectives:

• Provide career counseling and career development sessions for graduates.
• Develop career services programs that will help student in exploring and planning career options.
• Work with students on their needs for career development.
• Conduct training’s, workshops, lectures, presentations, and other events to develop career planning and employability skills for students.
• Develop positive working relationship with faculty, administrative and co-workers to achieve desired goals.
• Coordinate with academic advisers to help students in making career choices based on their academic majors.
• Research and analyse current employment trends in various industries.
• Maintain regular contacts with potential employers for new job opportunities.
• Educate students on resume building, interview skills, and professionalism.
• Conduct mock interviews and job search workshops for students.
• Conduct career awareness events for students
• Execute outreach programs to promote career services among students.
• Maintain a database of student academic and employment records.
